FlyOrDie Evolution Order: Every Form from Fly to Grim Reaper

Published · Updated · 3 min read

FlyOrDie.io, now EvoWorld.io, puts every player on one long evolution ladder. The order is not random: it is set in the game's own code (the expTable in the shared.js file that evoworld.io loads), and each step names the creature that comes next. This post lists that order as it stands in October 2026 and notes where some forms appear on the map and what the early forms eat.

The full evolution order

The current code lists 46 forms. Two of them, the Pumpkin and the Pumpkin Ghost, sit between the Ghostly Reaper and the Grim Reaper; the game had its Halloween event switched on when we checked, so other guides that count 45 animals may simply be from outside the event.

StageForms, in order
InsectsFly, Butterfly, Mosquito, Wasp, Dragonfly
Small birdsPigeon, Duck, Blue Bird, Hen, Parrot, Stork, Red Bird, Pelican, Turkey
Bats and bigger birdsBat, Seagull, Blackbird, Hornet, Vulture, Owl, Brown Bird, Falcon, Eagle, Snowy Owl, Hawk, Raven
Prehistoric and swampMad Bat, Pterodactyl Child, Pterodactyl, Swamp Monster, Stone Eater
HellDemonic Egg Eater, Demonic Bat, Demonic Imp, Dragon, Phoenix
CosmosCosmic Insect, Cosmic Big Eye, Cosmic Angry Eye, Cosmic Bat, Overfed Cosmic Bat
AfterlifeGhost, Ghostly Reaper, Pumpkin, Pumpkin Ghost, Grim Reaper

The stage names in the left column are ours, to make the list easier to read. The order inside each row is the game's.

What the first forms eat

The food lists also come from the game code (the foodChain table). They explain why the first minutes feel so different from form to form:

  • Fly: poo and dead fish.
  • Butterfly: flowers only.
  • Mosquito: pigs and cats.
  • Wasp: beehives, flowers, cherries, currants, strawberries, and small birds such as the pigeon, hen and blue bird.
  • Dragonfly: the first hunter of other players. It eats flies, butterflies, mosquitoes and ladybugs.
  • Pigeon, Hen: seeds, bread and worms.

So as a Dragonfly you are now a threat to the players who were your stage a few minutes ago, and they will see you with a red outline.

Forms that start in a special place

Most forms evolve where you are, but a few have their own spawn point in the code. The Pterodactyl Child spawns in the jungle, the Snowy Owl in the arctic area, the Demonic Egg Eater in hell, and the Ghost and the Pumpkin at the cemetery. That is why an evolution can suddenly move you to a new part of the map.

Two unusual steps near the end

The Overfed Cosmic Bat is marked in the code as unable to move, and its next form is the Ghost. The Ghost itself has the skill Immortality; the game's own description is “You are immortal. You can take a break from playing.” It feeds on zombies at the cemetery.

After the Grim Reaper

The Grim Reaper has no next form. From there the game's own info texts point you to three Reaper-only activities:

  • Battle Arena: only Reapers can enter, and you do not lose experience when you die there.
  • Demonic Angel: a boss that spawns under the cemetery every hour if enough players are on the server. Only Reapers can fight it.
  • Battle Royale: needs account level 15 and EvoTickets to join, and at least 5 players. Lava starts to rise after 5 minutes, and the last player standing wins 100 gems.

Accounts with premium can start up to three levels higher, and the game lets you buy a higher starting creature with gems, but every form on the list can also be reached for free by eating.
