What is FlyOrDie?
FlyOrDie.io is a multiplayer .io survival game by Pixel Voices. It has since been renamed EvoWorld.io, and the official site still calls itself “formerly known as flyordie.io”. The game in the frame above is that live game, embedded from evoworld.io, so you play on the same servers as everyone else.
Every round starts the same way: you are a small fly on a big shared map. You eat food to earn experience, and when the bar fills you evolve into a bigger creature with new food, new predators and a new ability. The other players are evolving too, and once you are big enough some of them become food. The main world is free-for-all with a leaderboard for the players with the most experience; the game also has a Battle Arena, a Battle Royale (from level 15) and an hourly Demonic Angel boss event.
How to play FlyOrDie
- Press Play, type a nickname if you want one, and join. You spawn as a fly.
- Move toward anything with a green outline. That is food for your current creature, and eating it gives XP.
- Keep away from anything with a red outline. Those creatures can eat you.
- Watch the bars at the top of the screen. Drink water before the water bar runs out, and keep an eye on oxygen under water and in outer space.
- When the XP bar fills, evolve. Check the icons at the top to see what your new creature eats and what hunts it, then use its ability to survive and climb the leaderboard.

What you get in the game
- An evolution ladder. Each creature has its own food list, its own predators and its own ability. The game’s own code lists 46 forms, from the Fly up to the Grim Reaper.
- Active and passive abilities. Some abilities you trigger yourself; others work on their own. The fly starts with Beginner’s Luck, a passive 50% chance to escape a predator’s attack.
- Several biomes. The map has different areas with different prey, from open sky up to space and down into caves.
- Survival bars. Experience, water and oxygen are shown at the top of the screen, and you need to keep water and oxygen up to survive.
- Real players. One free-for-all mode on a shared map, with a leaderboard; the top three players get a star next to their name.
Tips for staying alive
- Read the outlines before you move. Green means food, red means danger. Decide where you are going only after you have checked both.
- Check the top icons after every evolution. Your food and your predators change each time, so something that was harmless a minute ago may now hunt you.
- Drink before you need to. You need water to survive, and the bar keeps draining. Top up whenever you pass water rather than waiting until it is nearly empty.
- Mind your oxygen. It drains under water and in outer space, and the game warns you when it is low. Surface or leave space (or find cosmic plants) before the bar empties.
- Keep moving. Staying in one spot makes you easy prey. CrazyGames also suggests hiding in clouds or bushes when something is chasing you.
- Save the ability for escapes. Abilities have a cooldown, shown on the skill icon. Using one to get away from a red-outlined predator is often worth more than using it to chase food.

Is FlyOrDie unblocked at school?
FlyOrDie runs in an ordinary browser tab from flyordie.lol, with nothing to download or install, so it plays on most school Chromebooks and work computers. If a network filter blocks the site, only that network's administrator can change it.

Why did I die when nothing ate me?
Check the water and oxygen bars at the top of the screen. Water keeps draining and you refill it by drinking, and oxygen runs low in some places, such as space. You need both to survive.
Can I play FlyOrDie on a phone or Chromebook?
Yes. On a Chromebook or laptop you play with the mouse or the keyboard. On a touch screen the game shows on-screen buttons for left, right, up and your skill.
